Fawino was founded in 2012 from the experience of Claudio Widmer and Simone Favini, oenologists trained at Changins. Located in Mendrisio, the winery farms 4 hectares of vineyards on the slopes of Monte Generoso and Monte San Giorgio, producing around 25,000 bottles per year. Merlot and red varieties such as Gamaret, Ancelotta, Syrah and Cabernet Franc are joined by white varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier and Sémillon. Through artisanal practices and respect for nature, Fawino creates wines that reflect balance, character and the authenticity of the Ticino terroir.
